The Watlow PM4 is a high‑quality, panel‑mounted PID temperature controller engineered for precise temperature regulation in industrial furnaces. Its clear LED display and programmable ramp/soak capabilities make it ideal for complex heat treatment processes that require specific temperature profiles. The PM4 can store up to four ramp‑and‑soak profiles, each with up to 10 programmable steps, making it well‑suited for applications such as heat treating, annealing, or ceramic firing. In addition to controlling heating elements, it can also operate accessory outputs like event alarms or over‑temperature shutoffs. An example of a program includes ramp up to 1500°F at 10°F/min, hold for 45 minutes, ramp up to 1700°F at 2°F/min, hold for 1 hour, and alarm cycle complete. Programs can be saved to the controller’s memory for easy repetition.
